The couple has three children: Melanie (Matt) Walker of Lexington, OH; Zachrey Saterfield of Mansfield, OH; and Mitchell Saterfield of Mansfield, OH. They also have one grandchild - Hayley Walker. Deb is currently employed by Dollar Tree. Eric is currently employed by General Motors.

Kathleen Lifer and Jason VanAtta were married June 8, 2013, at Most Pure Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Shelby, OH, by Father Nicholas Cunningham. The bride is the daughter of Steven and Christine Lifer of Shelby, OH. The groom is the son of James and Mary VanAtta of McComb, OH. The groom's parents hosted the rehearsal dinner at Café on Main in Mansfield, OH. The Maid of Honor was Suzanne Lifer, twin sister of the bride. The Bridesmaids were: Rebecca Lifer, sister of the bride; Amanda Meyer, Liz Hohner, and Jen Smith, friends of the bride; and Renee Tupps, sister of the groom. The Best Man was Garrett Inbody, friend of the groom. The Groomsmen were: Zack Sully, Matt Witwer, Zach Weitzel, Derek Linhart and Zack Schellenberg - all friends of the groom. The Ushers were Jacob Miller and Nicholas Miller, both cousins of the bride. The Ring Bearer was Braxton Tupps, nephew of the groom. Music for the ceremony was provided by Kayla Rounsevell, soloist; The Domka Quartet, strings; and Fran Hartz, organist. A reception for 200 guests was held at the Holiday Inn and Suites in Mansfield, OH. The couple honeymooned in Jamaica. The bride is a graduate of Ohio Northern University (2011) and Shelby High School (2007). She is employed as a mechanical engineer at Honda R & D Americas, Inc. The groom is a graduate of Ohio Northern University (2011) and McComb High School (2007). He is employed as a mechanical engineer at Honda of America Manufacturing, Inc. The couple resides in Milford Center, OH.

Dick and Sharon Shaffer will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary August 4th. They celebrated their anniversary with a vacation in June with their children and grandchildren at Topsail Island, NC. An anniversary celebration was also held for the couple at Steve's Dakota Grill. The former Sharon Harding and Dick Shaffer were married August 4, 1963, at St. John's United Church of Christ in Bloomville, OH. The couple has four children: Debbie (Brad) Carpenter of Shelby, OH; Kris (Kelly) Shaffer of Shelby, OH; Kim (Andy) Finnegan of Shelby, OH; and Diane (Dave) Ramey of Lexington, OH. They also have five grandchildren: Shane Carpenter, Miranda and Dylan Shaffer, and Makenna and Sean Finnegan. Sharon is retired from the City of Shelby. Dick is retired from Copperweld, Shelby Division.

Nicholas Frombaugh is a 2006 graduate of Wynford High School and a 2008 graduate of The Ohio State University's Agricultural Technical Institute. He is employed at Ruth Farm Drainage and is a full-time farmer.

The former Diana Liston and David Eichelberger were married August 11, 1963, at Clear Creek Church of Christ by Pastor Glen Liston. The couple has five children: Dan (Katina) Eichelberger of Ashland, OH; Dara (Bill) Bolin of Ashland, OH; Dena (Bob) Cartwright of Ashland, OH; Donya (Brian) Orr of Apple Creek, OH; and Doug (Brittany) Eichelberger of Ashland, OH. They also have 12 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Both David and Diana are self-employed in farming.

Timothy (Tim) and Drucilla (Dru) Downie celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary August 10th with a cruise of the Hawaiian Islands. The former Drucilla Brown and Timothy Downie were married August 10, 1963, at St. Timothy Lutheran Church in Mansfield, Ohio, by Rev. Otto H. Freidmann. The couple has two children: Greg (Kelly) Downie of Ft. Mill, South Carolina; and Matt (Susan) Downie of Dublin, Ohio. They also have seven grandchildren. Dru retired from William S. Manos, DDS, of Ashland, Ohio, when the couple moved to Atlanta, Georgia. Tim retired after 45 years with Print South Corp. of Atlanta, Georgia. The Downies have lived in Mansfield, Shelby, and Cincinnati, Ohio, and in Atlanta, Georgia, prior to retiring to Cedar Creek, Aiken, South Carolina.

After touring Ireland, they traveled to Scotland to visit relatives and were surprised with a memorable family anniversary dinner. The former Christine Hunter and Matt Benick were married June 8, 1963, at the First English Lutheran Church in Mansfield by Dr. Carveth P. Mitchell. The couple has two sons: Troy (Sherri) Benick of Bellville; and Sean M. Benick of Upper Arlington. They also have two grandsons: Hunter and Spencer Benick. Christine was employed by Clear Fork High School and Mansfield/Richland County Public Library. Matt is a retired Chief of Police for the city of Mansfield and served as Risk Manager for Richland County.

65th WEDDING ANNIVERSARY: DONALD & ELOISE SAUTTER

Donald and Eloise Sautter celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary in June. The former Eloise Shipman and Donald Sautter were married in June 1948 at Bryn Zion Baptist Church in Mt. Gilead, Ohio, by Rev. Nothstine. The couple has three children: Bill (Sharon) Sautter of Mansfield; Jack Sautter of Mansfield; and Sue (Rod) Durbin of Mansfield. They also have seven grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren. Eloise retired from Lexington Court Nursing Home as a Nurse Assistant in 1991. She also baked many wedding and birthday cakes, and made candy. Don retired from Therm-O-Disc in Mansfield in 1990 as a Senior Supervisor of the Foremen. He previously worked as a Foreman at Stevens Manufacturing and Essex in Lexington, Ohio.

A surprise party, hosted by the couple's children and grandchildren, was held in their honor on August 10th at the Old Mill in Lucas, Ohio. The former Betty Porter and Mark Erdenberger were married August 20, 1988, at Mt. Jeez at Malabar Farm. The couple has four children: Chris (Dan) Miller of Mansfield, Ohio; Brenda (Ron) Maglott of Mansfield, Ohio; Erika (Mark) Malick of Delaware, Ohio; and Devon Erdenberger of Hilliard, Ohio. They also have six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Betty is currently employed by Anesthesia Associates of Mansfield. Mark is retired from Ohio Carpenters Local 735.

Ralph and Brenda Snyder celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary August 17, 2013, with a private dinner. The former Brenda DeVinney and Ralph Snyder were married August 17, 1963, at Woodville Grace Brethren Church in Mansfield, Ohio, by Rev. William Allen and Rev. M.L. Myers. The couple had two children: Michael T. Snyder (spouse deceased) of Wooster, Ohio; and John C. Snyder {deceased} (Amy Schroeder) of Ballwin, Missouri. They also have five grandchildren: Todd and Lynn of Wooster, Ohio (children of Michael); and Alex, Isaac, and Evan of Ballwin, Missouri (children of John and Amy). Brenda is a homemaker and is known for her chocolate chip cookies. She has done cake decorating and floral arranging from her home for many occasions. Ralph retired from General Motors after 44½ years.

Rev. Earl Eugene (Gene) and Mildred Irene (Millie) Jordan of Marion, Ohio, will be celebrating their 60th wedding anniversary with family. They met at Owosso Bible College and were married August 22, 1953, at the Pilgrim Holiness Church in Flint, Michigan, by Rev. G. V. Skinner. The couple has five children: Jennifer (Louis - deceased) Potvin of Grove City, Ohio; Dan (Pam) Jordan of Xenia, Ohio; Teresa (Greg) Blevins of Groveport, Ohio; Ron Jordan of Marion, Ohio; and Mark (Helen) Jordan of Artesia, New Mexico. They also have ten grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. Gene and Millie have served faithfully in churches in Ohio, New Mexico, Virginia, Delaware, and West Virginia. The flower girl was Isabelle Ardis, cousin of the bride. The best man was David Matthews, friend of the groom. The groomsmen were: Rick Eubanks and Justin Burke, friends of the groom; Tim Reid, brother-in-law of the groom; and Tim Stephens, cousin of the groom. The ring bearer was Jake Thompson, nephew of the groom. A reception for 230 guests was held at Deer Ridge Golf Club in Bellville, Ohio. The couple enjoyed a honeymoon in Hawaii. Allison is a graduate of St. Peter's High School and The Ohio State University. She is employed as a registered nurse at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. William is a graduate of Edison High School and Pittsburgh Technical Institute. He is employed with Nationwide Insurance. The couple resides in Columbus, Ohio.

The couple has one daughter, Kristin Stober, residing in Columbus, Ohio. Marlene is a retired buyer at General Motors with 39 years of service. Gary was supervisor of Graphics at General Motors, retiring after 45 years of service.

Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Koch celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary August 17, 2013, with a dinner reception hosted by the couple at the Sons of Herman Hall, located at 416 Orange Street in Mansfield from 6:00 to 10:00 p.m. for family and friends. In commemoration of their 50th wedding anniversary, the couple took a 16-day America's Magnificent National Parks bus tour in May of 2012. They are planning a forthcoming Alaskan cruise. The former Diane Marie Jordan and Jacob Koch were married August 17, 1963, at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Mansfield, Ohio, by Rev. Father James R. Hoffman, who later became Bishop of the Toledo Diocese. The couple have three children: Robert Koch of Mansfield, Ohio; Richard Koch of Mansfield, Ohio; and Kathryn Koch of Lucas, Ohio. They also have two grandchildren - Brittan and Brooke Koch, and three great-grandchildren. Diane Koch retired from Chicago Title Agency as a secretary/receptionist, and was a former employee of the Ashland Road K-Mart. Jacob Koch retired from Weidles Meats.

Donna Massey retired from JC Penney in 1993. Jerry Massey is currently employed as a shuttle driver at Joyce Buick, and retired from AK Steel in 1999.

The couple has four children: Kris (Christine) Radojcsics of Mansfield, Ohio; Jake (Cathy) Radojcsics of Bristol, Tennessee; Susan (Bruce) Chamberlain of Ellenton, Florida; and Eric (Shelley) Radojcsics of Anna Maria Island, Florida. They also have ten grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren, with one more on the way. Beverly Radojcsics is a homemaker. Jake Radojcsics retired from Whitey's Auto Mall as the Vice President.
